Sam Edelman Sutton Over The Knee Boots...HOT, HOT!

So I have to do a quick rant on a new purchase that I have wanted and wanted but NEVER thought I could wear because I have and will always have cheerleader/volleyball legs....anyhow my fabulous husband had gotten me this leopard bag from the Nordstrom anniversary sale (because I had mentioned it) but when I got it in the mail it was poorly made & looked cheap so one night we decided to do a din date & return it. When my hubby ran to the restroom I decided to do a quick inventory of the shoe department, especially since it was SALE time, & I saw these fabulous Sam Edelman Sutton over the knee boots and I thought to myself, "what the hell I am going to try them on & get it out of my system." They were regularly $299.95 and they were on sale for $199.90 which made them all the more appealing before I even put them on. So the guy brought out an 8 & a 9 & I thought for sure I would need the 8.5 that they were sold out of but NO I fit perfectly in the 9's and needless to say they are now nice & snug in my closet. ;) When I put them on & was walking around I heard someone behind me say, "those are interesting, but hot," hehe & it was my love so I knew they were a go in his book but I still was a little unsure as I felt like Julia Roberts in Pretty Women. Anyhow, I continued to walk around a bit & got a few awesome comments from some other women shopping so I then felt a little less hookerish & more stylish so I decided they were a must have. These boots are a pull on style with a partial zip closure and the heel height is approx. 3.5 which is actually a fairly comfortable height for me anyway. I didn't think I would be so excited for slightly cooler weather to get here but I am ready to rock these babies out! What do you think, good purchase?! What new trends are you all excited to rock??

Tacori 18K925 Collection

Morning all! Just wanted to do a post on my new birthday gift from my love! It is from the new Tacori 18K925 collection that hits stores sometime soon (but is available now in some places)...I think this month or next month but I was fortunate enough for my crazy hubby to track one of these down for my birthday & I had no idea he knew I wanted it :) complete surprise (which is almost impossible to surprise me because I am such a snoop when it comes to gifts). The 18K925 collection stands for a 18K gold and .925 silver combination which I usually say yuk to gold & silver both together but for some reason about the last year I have been mixing the two...whether it is ok or not I am doing it because I like it! The collection itself is surprisingly affordable for Tacori because when most think Tacori (like Tiffany's) they think "I can't afford that," but for Tacori jewelry it is rather affordable which is refreshing.

Anyhow this bracelet is faceted candy drop gems in saffron Lemon Quartz, Cognac Quartz, seafoam Prasiolite, Smokey Quartz, and deep Rose Amethyst (my birthstone) and it is yummy! I was a little worried about the hook thru closure because I have some Tiffany's things that are that way and they sometimes come right off but Tacori nailed this one because the part that slips thru is small enough that it is not coming back out unless you want it to. Every time I go to put this on I smile because I have nothing like it....in fact I am shocked he thought I would even like this but I do because it is a little bit vintage, meets modern, meets glam!!

You can follow Tacori on facebook here:

Or check out the 18K925 collection here on their website:

Trying to show off my Tacori wedding rings & new bracelet ;)

One more pic with a drink ;) Happy 26th birthday to me & happy three years married to my love! (P.S I promise my green eyeshadow was not this intense just looking at me haha but it showed up crazy in pics)

Do you have something that you love that can be put into multiple categories of style?!
XOXO,
Meg

Sweaty Bands Are AMAZING

Well I am not usually a fan of headbands because they slide or are just an annoyance BUT I have discovered Sweaty Bands & now I know what everyone was going crazy about. I first set my eye on these at the Nashville Marathon Expo but unable to get in the booth & actually look due to the overwhelming number of women looking at them in a small, cramped booth I just gave up & shopped online a month or so later and WOW I wish I would have pushed my way through the crowd & had one of those babies for that marathon but I didn't & now that is a thing of the past since I now own about ten of them. Their cute little slogan says,"OMG they don't slip," & I will admit I had my reservations but they are right....they DO NOT SLIP; no long drawn out explanation for that part because it speaks for itself...they don't slip. Another amazing factor of these little slices of heaven are that they have a ton of designs which is awesome because there is one for everyone, ha I have a list of the ones I still want to get but had to slow my shopping roll. A third thing I love about these is they are washable which is great for me because I wash everything, especially sweaty gym clothing (which now includes these)...all you have to do is wash and hang dry and they are good and fresh as new. If you have not experienced these yet I strongly suggest you do so....they are great for running, walking, working out, volleyball, or even just wearing out for a day of shopping...completely a must have accessory for all wardrobes. They run about $15-$20 depending on if you wish to have a thick one or a skinnier one and you can shop at a local running/sports store near you (if they carry them) or shop online at www.sweatybands.com (which provides an amazingly fast shipping turn around). ENJOY XOXO!
